Jazzmusiker auf der Bühne

Hildegard lernt fliegen

Hildegard lernt fliegen is a Swiss jazz ensemble with its roots in Bern and touring threads in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Luxembourg, China, Italy, Finland, the UK and France. In the film TALES WANDER, Michelle Brun accompanies the musicians on their concert tour.

Hildegard lernt fliegen is not a band – it is a storm. You buy a ticket expecting a concert, but what you get is a theatrical assault on your understanding of music. Bandleader Andreas Schaerer gives it his all as he lets his effervescent imagination loose on the audience.

Band members: Andreas Schaerer, Andreas Tschopp, Benedikt Reising, Christoph Steiner, Marco Müller, Matthias Wenger

Jordi Savall mit Kinderchor im Konzert Mare Nostrum

Jordi Savall

For more than 40 years, Jordi Savall and Montserrat Figueras – his wife, who died in November 2011 – have worked tirelessly to find, through their music, dialogue between cultures and peoples. He became one of the most important researchers and interpreters of music written before 1800. His creative power has taken him – for many years together with his late wife – to concert halls, churches and cathedrals all over the globe.

Jordi Savall

The short documentary «The Voice in the Evening» is set in a retirement home in Eastern Switzerland that is closed to the outside world because of Corona Virus. The walks only reach as far as the inner garden – why do we fear death and do we know the needs of old age? A film by Michelle Brun, 2020, 20 minutes

A journey to the sounds and also to the silence, to other cultures, as far as Africa and then back across the sea, to the unfamiliar and to friends – and then finally, to ourselves.
